The Asian Garden Mall is the cultural and commercial anchor of Little Saigon — the largest Vietnamese-American community in the United States. The mall's interior hosts more than 100 shops, restaurants, and tea houses, and the surrounding Bolsa Avenue corridor runs for nearly a mile with Vietnamese bakeries, pho restaurants, and jewelry stores. On Tết weekend in January, the block becomes genuinely impassable for individual vehicles, with street closures and attendance exceeding 100,000.
Groups visiting for Tết, Lunar New Year celebrations, or cultural dinners benefit enormously from one bus drop-off before the street closures begin, with pickup coordinated for the return. Parking within four blocks disappears by 10 a.m. on festival days.
